The following goals were pursued during development: Very high flexibility with low restoring forces of maximumweight and diameter reduction. The high degree of flexibility was achieved by particularly fine stranded special conductors in a particularly soft and bend-resistant design. The low restoring forces with weight reduction were realised by dispensing with an outer jacket, the shielded stranded structures being guided by low-adhesion, particularly abrasion-resistant and highly banding based on PTFE with very high flexural strength.
