The well developed tourist infrastructure and rich program of cultural events multiply the number of visitors from all over the world. There are famous international music festivals which take place in Wrocław: International Festival “Vratislavia Can- tans”, “Jazz upon Odra”, “Singing Actors’ Festival”. In 2012 Wrocław was one of the European host cities for UEFA EURO 2012 and in 2016 the city became the Euro- pean Capital of Culture (together with a Spanish city San Sebastian). A year later, in 2017, Wrocław organized the World Games which promote sporting disciplines that are not contested in the Olympic Games. The architecture of Wrocław is unique too, every period has left its architectural heritage making the city a mosaic of different styles. A strong catholic tradition can be observed in numerous sacred art objects from the Middle Ages until modern times. If you are tired of visiting monuments and other historical attractions, you can take a breath sitting in the beautiful Botanic Garden or go to the greatest and oldest park of Wrocław, the Szczytnicki Park. If you want to work your body – the sport and fitness infrastructure is also well developed. You can find them everywhere around here! The Wrocław Dwarves stand about a foot tall, are made of bronze, and look exactly like the ones from fairytales. The dwarves took over all the city and became the symbol of Wrocław.
