GENERAL PRESENTATION OF THE ACADEMY 21 DOCTORAL SCHOOL The Doctoral School of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław is an artistic and research unit, educating specialists demonstrating significant ar- tistic achievements as well as high research and teaching potential. The doctoral training, which lasts 6 semesters, prepares the researchers to obtain a doctoral degree in the field of art in the discipline of fine arts and conservation of works of art. Characteristics of our Doctoral School: • The curriculum of the Doctoral School maintains ba- lance between practice and theory, respect for tra- dition and openness to new trends, attachment to classical techniques and experimentation with new technologies. • The Doctoral School at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy Art and Design in Wrocław is the only unit of its kind at Polish art academies that provides education entirely in English.
